Hometown Family Radio Announces Fall Broadcast Schedule
Hometown Family Radio will once again carry an aggressive schedule of local sporting events this fall. The three stations, US 939, Coyote Country 105.3 and Z-102 will combine to carry over 30 regular season broadcasts.
US 939 will again be the voice of McCook High athletics. Steve Stein and Bruce Lester will team to broadcast Bison Football. Stein has been broadcasting sporting events for over 20 years. In addition, US 939 and Z-102 will team to broadcast six regular season Bison volleyball and softball broadcasts plus all of the post-season events.Former MHS Coach Dale Lortz will provide the color for Bison Softball. For fans of other McCook High Sports, Stein will again produce Bison Beat, a weekly program featuring interviews with athletes from each sport which is in-season.
Coyote Country 105.3 will again be the voice of area high school athletics. The station will squeeze 14 games into just nine weeks of regular season competition and then be there during the post-season for all the big games. Mark Searcey begins his second year of play-by-play for Coyote Country 105.3.
After the games on Friday, Hometown Family Radio will team with the Husker Sports Network for extensive post-game features. The Friday Nebraska High School Football will air until 11pm. Greg Larson anchors local coverage with scores, wraps, and interviews from around the region on US 939. Matt Palu will help with the show.
